What's On September 2019

Highlights this month at the London Philharmonic Orchestra include the first concert of our new residency at Saffron Hall in Essex. The London season kicks off with Tchaikovsky’s blazing, autobiographical final symphony, alongside a homage to a great friend, the late Oliver Knussen, and Britten’s powerful Violin Concerto with Julia Fischer.

In October we perform Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No.2 at Congress Theatre, Eastbourne. In London we continue our Isle of Noises concert series with some outstanding soloists including Nicola Benedetti for Elgar's Violin Concerto and Sheku Kanneh-Mason for Elgar's Cello Concerto. We are also joined by Edward Gardner, our Principal Conductor Designate, who conducts Walton's Violin Concerto. Do join us to hear some exceptional performances.
