Help us Play On
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to have a devastating impact on live performances. As the doors to our concerts sadly remain closed we face an uncertain future. We are,
however, resolute in our drive to keep one of the world’s great orchestras not just alive, but as vibrant as ever. With the help of our generous supporters we have made great progress back
to the concert platform and are another step closer to returning as the Orchestra you know and love. With your help we will still be here when we can fill the auditorium again.
The LPO has always been an orchestra of the people, for the people. Throughout the pandemic and into the future we are committed to sharing as much music as possible: to delivering
world-class performances to global audiences; to inspiring school students of all ages at our BrightSparks concerts and recordings; to nurturing a fully-inclusive next generation of talented instrumentalists and composers; and to enriching the lives of less advantaged and disabled people of all ages through the power of music. All of this activity is continuing
and being adapted where needed so that as many people as possible can share in the wonder of orchestral music.
We are delighted to be continuing the inclusive spirit which drives the LPO with our autumn season of concerts, broadcast on Marquee TV.
We hope that these performances have touched you, wherever you are in the world, whether you are a seasoned concert-goer or new to orchestral music.
If you have enjoyed our autumn season we ask, if you are able, to please consider making a donation to support the Orchestra.
We may be back on stage, but with no box office income it is only with your help that we can continue to provide these concerts and our vital Education and Community Programme.
When the time comes to throw our open our doors and welcome you back into the hall to be inspired, moved, challenged and uplifted by the music of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, it will be thanks to our supporters, who helped us get there.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our Play On Appeal so far. It is with your kind support that we have been able to build back the Orchestra to return to the concert platform for our autumn season. Every single donation, regardless of size, has helped keep the LPO going, we are grateful to you all.
Hundreds of you have joined our LPO family by supporting this appeal and thanks to you we have been able to illuminate all of the faces you see below. These are the faces of our musicians and our talented young instrumentalists and composers. It is these individuals who collectively can move us to tears, fill us with joy, wonder and hope, or have us leaping from our seats with the thrill of their performances. Your donations have helped us create more of these experiences, they have helped up sustain our family of musicians and they have helped up continue to provide opportunities for talented young instrumentalists and composers.
If you are a UK tax payer the LPO can receive an additional 25p in Gift Aid on every £1 that you donate – making your donation go even further. We ask everyone who can, and is eligible, to provide us with a Gift Aid Declaration. To complete a Gift Aid Declaration simply sign in to your LPO account, select the gift aid tab from the left hand menu and tick the ‘giftaid it’ box. You can also sign in to see if you've already given us a gift aid declaration.
