Receiving great praise for their performance in the 2009 production’s revival, the Orchestra finished their season at Glyndebourne bringing the magic of Dvořák’s score to life with Robin Ticciati at the helm.
‘sublime playing by the London Philharmonic Orchestra under Ticciati’s inspired direction’ Melanie Eskenazi, 2 July 2019, Music OMH
★★★★★ ‘Robin Ticciati conducts the LPO idiomatically’ 5 July 2019, Daily Mail
‘the best thing about this show is the London Philharmonic Orchestra which, under Robin Ticciati, supplies all the magic’ Hannah Nepilova, 5 July 2019, Financial Times
‘The conducting of Robin Ticciati, however, is the most eloquent yet, and the playing of the London Philharmonic beyond reproach.’ David Mellor, 14 July 2019, The Mail on Sunday
‘Robin Ticciati and the London Philharmonic Orchestra were every bit as vivid in their illumination of Dvořák’s score. The repeated harp motif rang out clear and true. The strings were lush and beautifully phrased. Woodwind lines were persuasive and rich in timbre. Tempi and accenting were immaculately judged.’ David Karlin, 5 July 2019, Bach Track
