Contemporary music on the LPO Label

The LPO has a long history of commissioning and performing new music from composers of international stature.

Contemporary music on the LPO Label

Since the launch of the LPO Label in 2005, we have recorded concerts of music by our Composers in Residence, as well as other key performances of works by living composers.  The Orchestra's association with Mark-Anthony Turnage resulted in three CDs of his music, including Mambo, Blues and TarantellaHidden Love Song and On Opened Ground.  The first CD of works by Julian Anderson includes The Crazed Moon and The Discovery of Heaven.
