COVID-19 update for LPO concerts September to December 2020

In response to the latest Government guidelines relating to COVID-19, we regret to inform you that we have taken the very difficult decision to cancel our 2020/21 Royal Festival Hall concerts as originally advertised between 23 September and 12 December inclusive.
As always, we take the health and safety of our audiences, players and staff very seriously and must act responsibly in relation to the Government's advice. Anyone that has booked a ticket for any of our cancelled concerts is entitled to a full refund or credit note (with an extended expiry date), and will be contacted by email.
On a positive note, we will still be presenting a full series of concert performances throughout the autumn filmed at the Royal Festival Hall (with strict safety measures in place to protect our players), and whilst we can’t welcome our audiences back to the Royal Festival Hall just yet, we will be streaming these events for you to experience in high quality audio/visual from your home. We will be in touch in due course with full details of the new season, and a guide to how to make the most of home technology to maximise your concert experience.
Don’t forget to join us on YouTube at 7.30pm this Wednesday (15 July) for the first of our Summer Sessions online concerts featuring members of the LPO string section who will perform works by Elgar, Corelli and Grieg.
