LPOnline: Summer Sessions

Fortnightly streamed performances from Henry Wood Hall

As part of LPOnline, members of the Orchestra performed together in July, in the same room, for the first time since mid-March.

These four hour-long recitals were filmed at our rehearsal home, Henry Wood Hall. Each session celebrates a section of the Orchestra, and the final concert in the series is an all-Beethoven programme to celebrate the composer’s 250th anniversary. This final concert features LPO players alongside four musicians from the Orchestra’s Foyle Future Firsts development programme.

Help the LPO Play On

Thank you to everyone who is helping support the Orchestra during this time. The cancellation of our concerts is devastating, and presents us with huge financial challenges, but we are resolute in our drive to keep one of the world’s great orchestras alive. We have taken the first steps to rebuild the LPO with our Summer Sessions. If you are able, please consider making a donation to help us continue to make and share our music.
