The London Philharmonic Orchestra returned to the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall after an absence of six months, launching its autumn season ‘In the Stream of Life’. Principal Conductor Designate Edward Gardner conducted a programme of Widmann, Sibelius and Beethoven, featuring Gerald Finley.

Concert reviews: 15 January 2020

To kick start 2020, the orchestra began it's celebrations for Ravi Shankar's 100th anniversary with a semi-staged performance of his opera, Sukanya. Collaborations between dancers, Indian musicians, opera singers and the orchestra were realised under the masterful eye of conductor David Murphy.
