The London Philharmonic Orchestra offers a variety of resources to support music learning in school
The resources on Creative Classrooms Connect include a range of creative projects inspired by the Orchestra's music as well as broader topics such as the science of sound, singing and musical notation, and resources linked to our Key Stage 1 and 2 BrightSparks concerts.
We also have specially-created musical films for Key Stages 1 and 2, both with supporting resources for teachers to enhance learning in school: Elephants in the Custard (Key Stage 1) is a lively 23-minute interactive film, and Express Yourself (Key Stage 2) is a series of films exlporing emotions through music.
In Repertoire Unlocked, we share material on pieces on GCSE and A Level Music syllabuses, including video performances and analysis, with accompanying written resources. Vdeos include Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (WJEC/Eduqas GCSE), Mozart's Clarinet Concerto (AQA) and Baroque vocal music (Edexcel).
The Teacher Area of The Studio brings together the most directly syllabus-related composing resources from across The Studio, our creative space for teenage composers, to support music teaching at Key Stages 3 to 5.
