Graduate Trainee position – Marketing Intern

This is an opportunity to gain experience within the busy marketing department of the London Philharmonic Orchestra and to develop a thorough understanding of the role of the department and its key areas of work within the organisation. You will be able to observe and participate in many of the marketing campaign activities that take place during the concert season, including e-marketing and social media campaigns, direct mail, digital content production, print production and distribution, audience analysis, promotional offers, etc., and will also have the opportunity to see how an in-house ticketing operation is successfully run. The role will also give you experience in basic office management, giving you the chance to develop valuable general administrative and marketing skills.

This is a paid, fixed-term position designed to offer entry-level experience in the field of arts marketing.

PA to the Chief Executive / Administrative Assistant

The PA to the Chief Executive and Artistic Director plays a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. The post holder is responsible for managing the Chief Executive and Artistic Director's office, whilst also providing administrative assistance to the Education and Community Department and the Digital Projects Manager. A broad role, this gives the postholder a great oversight across all of the Orchestra’s activities and an opportunity to liaise with a wide range of people from within the classical music industry as well as the Orchestra and its board.

The London Philharmonic Orchestra is seeking to recruit a Transport Manager, whose role will be to ensure safe and timely delivery of the Orchestra’s instruments both in the UK and overseas.  The position is a core part of the ‘on the road’ team along with the Stage Manager, Librarian and Orchestra Personnel Managers. The successful applicant will have extensive driving experience, hold clean category C+E driving license, experience working with stage managers, and an empathy for the in the performing arts.

 

The salary for this position will be £32,000. The Orchestra is open to discussing both salaried and freelance options.
