London Philharmonic Orchestra

The mesmerising Greek virtuoso Leonidas Kavakos plays Sibelius's passionate and romantic violin concerto, a work which launched his international career and of which he is a celebrated performer. After the critical and popular success of their inaugural Saffron Hall concert last year, The London Philharmonic Orchestra and Vladimir Jurowski return with another inspirational season-opener. In addition to Oliver Knussen's delicate, impressionistic arrangements of piano pieces by Scriabin, the Orchestra perform Tchaikovsky's extravagantly dramatic Fifth Symphony.
