FUNharmonics sets out on another musical adventure - this time to the home of jazz, blues, bright lights, big cities, Hollywood and the Wild West. That’s right, we’re off to America! Join the London Philharmonic Orchestra on a journey to ‘the New World’ and enjoy some of the fascinating music that could only have come out of the US of A.

FUNharmonics concerts are presented by CBeebies’ Chris Jarvis and, at one hour long, are the very best way to introduce your family to the wonders of orchestral music. Suitable for the whole family.

Throughout the day there are free musical events around the building offering a fun and interactive way-in to the concert.

10.00am–11.45am | Clore Ballroom at Royal Festival Hall
An America-themed arts and crafts session with activities for all the family. Drop by and colour, stick, glitter, cut and create – and wear your masterpieces in the concert!

10.30am–11.00am | 11.15am–11.45am | 12.15pm–12.45pm | Level 5 Function Room (Green Side)
Special activities for mini musicians not attending the main concert. Join early-years specialist Polly Ives for our free MINIharmonics sessions for children aged 5 and under. Give your little ones the opportunity to sing, create and play in these interactive and engaging workshops. Places are limited so do arrive early. Parents must accompany children at all times.

Have-a-Go sessions
10.00am–11.30am | 1.10pm–2.00pm | Level 3 and Level 4
Try out the different musical instruments of the orchestra at our guided ‘Have-a-Go’ sessions scattered throughout Royal Festival Hall.
