Friends, Benefactors and Thomas Beecham Group members are invited to attend exclusive private rehearsals at the Royal Festival Hall throughout the season.


LPO Contemporaries Champagne Saturday

Be one of the very few people invited to listen to the London Philharmonic Orchestra in rehearsal. Observe this world-class symphony orchestra in their jeans and T-shirts as Vladimir Jurowski takes them through their programme for that evening. After the rehearsal has finished, join players and staff at Skylon to relax and chat over a glass of champagne.

Reception at German Ambassador’s Residence

Thomas Beecham Group patrons and Principal Benefactors are invited to a very special event featuring an interview with Principal Conductor, Vladimir Jurowski, kindly hosted by the German Ambassador, His Excellency Georg Boomgaarden, at his private residence in celebration of this summer’s Glyndebourne performance of Wagner’s Die Meistersinger.

The Annual Fundraising Gala

We are delighted to announce that the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s Annual Fundraising Gala will take place at Guildhall on Tuesday 28 June 2011.

The 2011 Gala evening promises to be a spectacular occasion in an exquisite venue. Guests will enjoy a Champagne Taittinger Reception in the Old Library, followed by a special orchestral performance and formal dinner in the stunning Great Hall

Opening Concert Celebrations

Friends of the London Philharmonic Orchestra were invited to celebrate the start of the new concert season with a complimentary drink for before the concert in the Friends’ Bar, while Benefactors and Thomas Beecham Group members joined special guests and musicians in the Orchestra’s Corporate Bar.

Supporters joined musicians and staff to celebrate the festive season in style accompanied by Orchestra musicians performing a selection of Christmas music. Benefactors and Thomas Beecham Group members attended a dinner following the concert attended by Principal Conductor Vladimir Jurowski and Orchestra musicians. 

Percussion Evening

Co-Principal Percussionist Andrew Barclay introduced the percussion section and its array of instruments. This was coupled with a drinks reception on arrival and a post-talk informal buffet supper served in the crypt.

Thomas Beecham Group Concert and Dinner

In recognition of the support given to the London Philharmonic Orchestra by the members of the Thomas Beecham Group, we have named the Orchestra’s concert on Saturday 19 March ‘The Thomas Beecham Group Concert’. We held a special dinner for the membership to which musicians and artists were invited.
