JTI

JTI has been supporting the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s ‘JTI Friday Series’ concerts since 2008, as part of a 5 year partnership. Their generous support allows the Orchestra to continue their tradition of offering low-cost tickets to Friday night concerts, ensuring world class music remains accessible to all. In tough economic times, these tickets prices make a large difference to music lovers and Friday night concerts continue to sell out to new community groups.
While supporting the London Philharmonic Orchestra in making classical music available to all, JTI’s support has given them access to unique entertaining opportunities, a benefit made available to the Orchestra’s corporate partners. Throughout the relationship, the Orchestra have assisted JTI in creating spectacular receptions and dinners, including private bespoke concerts by members of the orchestra, with exceptional catering packages within Southbank’s Royal Festival Hall.
"Our support for the LPO helps to ensure that the arts stay accessible to the general public as well as providing us with wonderful corporate engagement opportunities”.
Karen Orchin, Head of Community Relations UK
After enjoying an exciting night’s repertoire in the Royal Festival Hall, JTI's guests have also had the opportunity to meet the London Philharmonic Orchestra's esteemed conductors, composers and soloists.
DEUTSCHE BANK

Deutsche Bank have been supporting the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s BrightSparks schools’ concerts since 2001 and by creating the Deutsche Bank Free Tickets Scheme, their generous funding ensures that school children and their teachers in the greater London area have the opportunity to experience a performance of the Orchestra for free. Six concerts are presented per academic year, aimed at three age groups, Key Stage one (5-7), Key Stage two (7-11) and Key Stage three (11-14) with each concert tailored to the appropriate age group. These are accompanied by teacher sessions and resources to help ensure participants get the most out of their concert experience. In the 2010/2011 season the concerts were attended by over 11,500 individuals from 205 schools, including schools from the boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Lewisham and Southwark.
The March concerts in 2011 provided an opportunity to showcase young talent from schools who took part in an associated project connected to the film and music of Icarus at the Edge of Time. Pupils produced their own interpretation of the music and story, and these efforts were screened at the Southbank Centre between the two main concerts.
Kate Cavelle, Head of Deutsche Bank Citizenship UK explains why a partnership with the London Philharmonic Orchestra works for them:
" Deutsche Bank has a history and reputation for its support of the use of arts within education to positively impact on the teaching and learning of young people in disadvantaged areas. Our relationship with the London Philharmonic Orchestra has been at the core of this support for over ten years providing thousands of young people with the exciting opportunity to see a live concert at the Royal Festival Hall. Coupled with training and resources for teachers, this partnership ensures that we have a true impact on learning whilst simultaneously increasing access to the wonderful world of music for young people who might never have the opportunity to go.
