LPO Contemporaries

LPO Contemporaries are young, dynamic Londoners in their 20s and 30s, keen to become involved in the city’s cultural life as members of an exclusive social group. At the centre of this group is the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

A specially selected LPO concert series is combined with bespoke events hosted by the Orchestra and its partners across London, giving LPO Contemporaries a chance to experience the wealth of cultural activities available right on their doorsteps. Performances, exhibitions and talks alongside coffees, cocktails and dinners offer our members a relaxed environment to mingle with musicians, artists, and other like-minded professional Londoners.

At the same time, through their annual membership, LPO Contemporaries support the London Philharmonic Orchestra; a registered charity dedicated to bringing music and education to people from all walks of life.

LPO Contemporaries event highlights for 2010/11

• LPO Contemporaries 1st Birthday Party (Friday 1 October 2010)
• The LPO Contemporaries Christmas Party (Thursday 2 December 2010)
• LPO Contemporaries VIP evenings, subscription series concerts and Champagne Saturday at Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall 
• Behind the scenes events at the Orchestra’s regular rehearsal venue Henry Wood Hall
• Tickets to sold out events such as Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King at the Royal Albert Hall

Membership Perks

LPO Contemporaries Subscription Series
Priority access to a specially selected LPO Contemporaries 3-concert subscription at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, with 10% discount if all 3 concerts are booked.

After each concert there will be the chance to socialise with other members, LPO staff and players.

LPO Contemporaries VIP Evening
2 complimentary tickets to 1 LPO concert during the Orchestra’s London season including an invitation to join the Orchestra’s musicians, along with major corporate and individual supporters, in the Orchestra’s Private Bar

2 LPO concerts each season will be designated “LPO Contemporaries VIP Evenings” offering a choice of concert for which your complimentary tickets can be used. Complimentary drinks and canapés are served in the Private Bar, with complimentary concert programmes and a private cloak room also available.

LPO Contemporaries Special Events

• A complimentary invitation for each member plus 1 guest to an exclusive LPO Contemporaries event each season, hosted by the Orchestra or one of its partners or sponsors
• Invitation to an exclusive LPO Contemporaries “Champagne Saturday”, an opportunity to watch the Orchestra in rehearsal, then mingle over a drink at Skylon afterwards*
• Invitation to an exclusive behind-the-music talk and dinner, hosted by LPO players*
