Performances
BrightSparks Schools Concerts
Six concerts per year, at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, focusing on a different age range each term. The concerts are supported with teacher training sessions, a resource pack and schools workshops.
FUNharmonics Family Concerts
Our entertaining series of family concerts, held three times a year at Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall.

Renga
A versatile ensemble of London Philharmonic Orchestra players that aims to develop new work alongside musicians from non-western classical music backgrounds.
Schools
Schools Workshops
A programme working with six schools each term that culminates in three schools-based workshops delivered by London Philharmonic Orchestra players and based on topics selected by class teachers.
Adopt-A-Class
A unique programme of musical workshops and performances with special needs children.

Special Projects
Bespoke projects, often involving the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s Composer in Residence Mark-Anthony Turnage, based in our key boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham.
Community
Hit Squad
A flexible ensemble of orchestral players that performs chamber music at non-concert hall venues such as hospitals, schools and factories.
Open Ear Orchestra
A dynamic group of amateur/semi-professional musicians across South East London that receives professional training to compose and perform.

Early Years Projects
Supporting the development of musical abilities in pre-school children, parents and nursery workers through musical workshops and performances.
SoundBytes
A series of musical workshops targeting a wide variety of community groups to familiarise them with the Orchestra and its activities, in particular its concert series at Southbank Centre.
Young Talent
Foyle Future Firsts
The Orchestra’s dedicated training programme for gifted and talented postgraduate musicians.

Young Composers
Under the mentorship of the Orchestra’s Composer in Residence Mark-Anthony Turnage, four talented young composers are selected each year to develop new pieces for orchestra/ensemble.
Residencies
Southbank Centre
Host and co-collaborator to a wide range of our activities, from performance-based events to school and community projects.
Brighton and Eastbourne
A variety of projects focusing on schools, coaching and community performance in our Brighton and Eastbourne residencies.
