Become one of our Shakespeare400
In the 400th year since the death of the famous playwright, the London Philharmonic Orchestra will build a community of 400 donors to bring our Shakespeare Festival to life.
In 2016 the Orchestra will dive into a musical world born of the words of William Shakespeare, with five Shakespeare-themed concerts at Royal Festival Hall, eight free pre-concert events with leading experts, and a series of Education and Community events to bring music, literature and theatre together for young people and families in our local communities. The festival will culminate in a special Anniversary Gala Concert on 23 April, where Vladimir Jurowski will conduct music interspersed with readings from the plays, directed by Simon Callow and featuring a glittering cast of guests.
The Orchestra is offering audiences the chance to become one of 400 donors who will contribute to the Shakespeare Festival by either donating to the Shakespeare Appeal or by becoming a member of our Shakespeare Syndicate. Play your part this season by supporting our series of events celebrating the legacy of Shakespeare in music.
