Season overview

Read season press release >

At the core of the London Philharmonic Orchestra's 2010-11 season is a survey of the music of Gustav Mahler to mark 150 years of his birth, and 100 years since his death. The focus includes symphonies, all the song cycles, his orchestral arrangements of music by other composers, and key works by his contemporaries including Zemlinsky, Bartók and Ligeti.

Vladimir Jurowski enters his fourth year as the Orchestra's Principal Conductor, having won rapturous critical acclaim at home and abroad for his concerts and recordings. He continues his survey of Tchaikovsky and Mahler Symphonies.
