Stephen Hough

On Wednesday 10 February, Osmo Vänskä conducted the London Philharmonic Orchestra in a performance of Dvořák’s Piano Concerto with soloist Stephen Hough, as well as excerpts from Sibelius’s magical incidental music for The Tempest, with soloist Lilli Paasikivi and featuring narrations of the play by renowned British actor Simon Callow.

On Wednesday 9 December, the London Philharmonic Orchestra took to Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall for their final London performance of 2015. The Orchestra was led by Jaap van Zweden in a performance of Wagenaar’s Cyrano de Bergerac Overture, and Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony, following the world premiere of Violin Concerto No. 2 by LPO Composer in Residence, Magnus Lindberg.
