Education & Community Project Manager

The London Philharmonic Orchestra’s Education & Community Department is looking to recruit a Project Manager - a key role within a team engaging with over 30,000 people each year. You will develop, manage and deliver a range of projects - from schools concerts at the Royal Festival Hall, to cross-arts initiatives with teenagers, to work supporting creative learning in the classroom - liaising closely with artistic teams, schools, music services and other arts organisations across our four partner boroughs in South London.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience of managing high quality music education work for young people and adults, demonstrable meticulous administrative skills, enjoy working with a wide range of partners, and have a desire to represent the aims and ideals of the London Philharmonic Orchestra in a lively and challenging programme of work.

Marketing Co-ordinator

The London Philharmonic Orchestra’s busy Marketing Department seeks a Marketing Co-ordinator to take an active role in building audiences for the Orchestra’s Residency concerts in Brighton and Eastbourne, overseeing its successful student scheme, and assisting where necessary with the marketing of the London season at Royal Festival Hall. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in classical music and excellent copy-writing skills.

Internships

Every 12 months the London Philharmonic Orchestra recruits for the Graduate Trainee position of Marketing Intern. This is a paid, fixed-term position designed to offer entry-level experience in the field of arts marketing. 

 Graduate Trainee position – Marketing Intern

This is an opportunity to gain experience within the busy marketing department of the London Philharmonic Orchestra and to develop a thorough understanding of the role of the department and its key areas of work within the organisation. You will be able to observe and participate in many of the marketing campaign activities that take place during the concert season, including e-marketing and social media campaigns, direct mail, print production and distribution, audience analysis, promotional offers, etc., and will also have the opportunity to see how an in-house ticketing operation is successfully run. The role will also give you experience in basic office management, giving you the chance to develop valuable general administrative and marketing skills.

The London Philharmonic Orchestra is seeking to recruit a Transport Manager, whose role will be to ensure safe and timely delivery of the Orchestra’s instruments both in the UK and overseas.  The position is a core part of the ‘on the road’ team along with the Stage Manager, Librarian and Orchestra Personnel Managers. The successful applicant will have extensive driving experience, hold clean category C+E driving license, experience working with stage managers, and an empathy for the in the performing arts.

 

The salary for this position will be £32,000. The Orchestra is open to discussing both salaried and freelance options.
